What is Fordland Early Childhood?

The Early Childhood Center is housed in Fordland Elementary which doubles as our FEMA shelter.  This is home to our Title I preschool classes and the Parents as Teachers program.

Fordland Early Childhood provides preschool services for three and four year olds in the Fordland School District. We offer half day classes in our three year old program and full day classes in our four year old program.  Our classes provide a Department of Elementary and Secondary approved curriculum which is taught by certified teachers. They strive to provide high quality educational opportunities while implementing best practices when it comes to early childhood education.

Our district has a full-time Parent as Teachers educator who is ready to meet you and your child.  If you or someone you know is expecting, has an infant or a toddler up to five years old, please ask us about our Parents as Teachers program.  Our parent educator would love to get in touch with you to schedule your first visit that includes a fun activity for you and your child.  Parents as Teachers is an excellent resource that is offered at no cost to our families.
